GUARDIAN set stop on #48213 XAUUSD at 3,797.00 (1.00% risk)
Why this exists
You didn't fail your challenge because your strategy was bad. You failed because of one day, one missing stop, one trade that was too big.
Two modes, one safety layer
Hands-off or hands-on. The rules are covered either way.
Hands-off
Auto mode
Detects the chart it's on and loads the setup tested for it
One range-breakout trade a day at a fixed New York time, stop at the other side of the range
Sizes every trade to your risk % and the room left before your daily and max-loss limits
Moving stop from +1R, a set exit time, and a close before the weekend
Hands-on
Guardian mode
You trade by hand; the EA opens nothing
Closes everything before your daily or max-loss limit, then pauses
Adds a stop to any trade you open without one
Flags or closes oversized trades and caps your total open risk
Auto mode setups · v1.07
One simple engine, tested times for each market.
v1.07 marks a short price range at a fixed New York time and trades the breakout once a day. The stop sits at the other side of the range. From +1R the stop moves to entry, then trails 1R behind price, and the trade closes at a set time.

Results in R (1R = the money risked per trade, 1% by default in a challenge). Tests use the broker's 15-minute price history with spreads, slippage and cautious fills included. MT5 real-tick tests of v1.07 are under way, and results vary by broker. Much of the gold edge comes on 08:30 New York data days; on funded accounts Solo closes before high-impact news by default, which skips those days. Past results do not guarantee future results.
Guardian mode
Catches the mistakes that end challenges, within seconds.
Daily loss and drawdown
Closes all positions before your firm's limit, with a safety buffer, then closes anything opened during the pause.
Forgotten stops
After 30 seconds without a stop-loss it alerts you, places one at your max risk, or closes the trade. You choose which.
Oversized trades
Any trade risking more than your max per trade (1% by default), or more than the room left, gets flagged or closed.
Stacked risk
Adds up every open stop. Over your total cap (3% by default) it warns you or closes the newest trades first.
Weekend and news
Closes before the weekend and before high-impact news if your firm requires it. Crypto can stay open.
Push alerts
Every action reaches your phone, and the on-chart panel shows your room, total risk and riskiest trade.
One limit to know: MetaTrader 5 cannot stop you from clicking Buy. Guardian acts right after the order opens, usually within a second, and only while MT5 is running, so a VPS is recommended.
Only need the protection? Guardian mode is also available on its own: Guardian (free) and Guardian Pro. Both run alongside your trade panel or other EAs: they handle entries and trade management, the Guardian handles your limits.
New · XAUUSD signals
A gold trend signal, in every plan.
The GoldenBoyFX gold trend setup: pullback entries in a confirmed trend on M15, stop at 2.5× ATR, no fixed target, trailing stop once 1.5R in profit. Every plan gets every signal, live. What changes is what comes with it and who places the trade.
Guardian · every signal, free
Each signal reaches you the moment it triggers, with entry and stop, and the panel shows how past signals did, losers included.
Guardian Pro · the moment it triggers
Pop-up, sound and phone push with entry and stop, plus a lot size that fits your max risk per trade and the room left before your limits.
PropFirm Solo · traded for you
Auto mode trades gold itself, sized to your firm's limits: the 08:00 New York range breakout by default, or this trend setup if you choose it.
What to expect: the setup waits for a clean trend, so some days there is no signal and some days there are several. It keeps one signal open at a time and skips high-impact news and the weekend. In a 2020–2026 test the gold setup on its own, at all hours, was only just positive (profit factor 1.02) with losing years, and signals taken by hand can fill worse than the EA. The Guardian never places these trades for you. If many traders take the same signal, firms may see matching trades: check your firm's rules on following signals.

Check your firm allows it: Guardian vs Auto mode
Everyone running Auto mode gets the same trades at the same time, and firms can see that. Some allow third-party EAs, some allow them only as a risk manager, some ban them. Guardian only manages risk, which is the most widely accepted use.

Questions
FAQ
Which one should I get?
Start with the free Guardian if you trade by hand and want the daily and max-loss limits covered. Get Guardian Pro if you want stops placed for you and caps on risk per trade and total risk. Get PropFirm Solo if you also want the EA to trade.
What are the gold signals?
The GoldenBoyFX gold trend setup, shown as signals: BUY or SELL XAUUSD, entry and stop, with no fixed target and a trailing stop once the trade is 1.5R in profit. Guardian shows every signal live, Guardian Pro adds a pop-up, phone push and a lot size for your limits, and PropFirm Solo can trade the setup itself. They are not advice or a promise of profit: the tested edge is small and you decide whether to take a trade.
Can I use it with my trade panel or other EAs?
Yes. Your trade panel or EA handles entries, breakeven and trailing; the Guardian handles daily loss, drawdown and risk limits. Attach it to one chart only; it watches the whole account.
Will it pass my challenge?
No EA can promise that. It keeps you inside the rules; the trading edge is small and results vary.
Can I trade manually while it runs?
Yes. Use Guardian mode, or run Auto mode and trade other symbols by hand.
Which firms are supported?
Rule presets exist for FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers and FundingPips, and any other firm works through custom inputs. A preset only sets the limits; it does not mean the firm allows Auto mode. Guardian is allowed as a risk manager at FTMO and FundingPips; at FundedNext it is allowed under $50k (ask support about larger accounts), and The5ers doesn't mention risk managers, so confirm with them. Auto mode is not allowed at The5ers or FundingPips and is limited at FundedNext and FTMO. See the table in "Built for your firm". Auto mode also checks your firm when it starts and, by default, places no trades where trading EAs are banned.
Can the firm tell I'm using the same EA as other traders?
Yes. Auto mode opens the same trades for every user at the same time, and firms compare trades across clients. That is why some firms ban third-party EAs that trade for you. Use Guardian mode, or Guardian or Guardian Pro, where your firm only allows risk managers.
Does Guardian block my orders?
MT5 does not allow that. Guardian reacts within about a second after the order opens.
Which instruments work best?
Gold is the main setup. NAS100, US500, US30 and USDJPY have a smaller edge, and BTC needs care. Other FX pairs, GER40 and UK100 showed no edge in testing, so Solo trades them only at a reduced 0.25% risk and marks them as untested.
What changed in v1.07?
A new range-breakout engine with a tested New York time for each market: gold at 08:00, US indices at 09:30 and USDJPY at the London open. Every trade gets a moving stop from +1R and a set exit time. The earlier gold trend setup is still there as an option.
Do I need a VPS?
Recommended. Guardian can only protect your account while MT5 is running.

Build a strategy from menus. Test it. Export it to MT5.
Stratify is our strategy lab for traders who don't code. Pick a timeframe, indicators and entry and exit rules from simple menus, test it on your own MT5 prices, and turn the strategies that hold up into an MQL5 Expert Advisor you compile in MetaTrader 5. Your price files stay on your device.
Build without code
10 indicators, a higher-timeframe filter, stops in ATR or pips, targets, trailing and breakeven, risk per trade and trading hours, all from menus.
Watch it trade
Replay the test bar by bar: every entry, every stop that moves, every exit, with spreads and costs included and the losing months shown.
Check it before you pay a fee
Replay it against prop-challenge rules from every start month, and test it against luck: unseen prices, other settings and shuffled trades.
Checked against MetaTrader 5
We tested the same strategy on a full year of real XAUUSD M30 prices from a live broker's MT5 server, in Stratify and in the MT5 Strategy Tester. Stratify found the same 339 trades, at the same bars (MT5: 340, one extra from earlier history), with win rate 32.4% vs 32.7%, profit factor 0.81 vs 0.83 and drawdown 34.7% vs 33.1%. The EA it wrote compiled with 0 errors and 0 warnings. That strategy lost money in both: the point is that Stratify tells you the same truth as MT5, before you risk money. See the comparison
Stratify tests ideas on past prices: a backtest is not a promise of future results, and it is not financial advice. Compile the EA in MetaEditor and test it in the MT5 Strategy Tester and on a demo account before any real money. On a challenge, run Guardian beside it: it pauses trading as the daily or maximum loss limit nears.
